A.Anderson Western Art

Ali Anderson is a western artist based out of Springtown, Texas. Her paintings are focused on the western lifestyle and of the animals and people keeping the farming and ranching traditions flourishing.

Ali has been immersed in the animal world her entire life spending most of her time caring for and riding her horses and working in the horse industry and agricultural fields. This allows her to draw from her personal experiences based on her time spent on ranches and farms across the country.

Ali received her B.S. in Animal Science and a Masters in Agriculture Business Management from Mississippi State University and has had a diverse career in both farming and animal agriculture.

artist statement

I am constantly in awe of the men, women, and animals that create the Western culture. I try and capture with each piece a glimpse into the personality of each individual as well as the beauty in the day to day moments that make up their livelihood.

I use color and texture to bring my paintings to life as well as to create focus on certain parts of each painting. I want my pieces to be detailed but not overly detailed, keeping my backgrounds simple and the technique looser. When doing a custom piece I try and learn as much as I can about the individual being represented so that I can capture the spirit of who they are.

Her love of art was instilled at young age from her mother, who attended art school and encouraged all her children to be creative. Art was encouraged further by her high school art teacher who taught and challenged her to keep learning and improving her techniques.

Since then, she has continued to grow her art education. Her current focus is on consignments and gallery show art.

Ali loves to use multiple different mediums, but she is most focused on pencil, acrylic, and oil. Her paintings tend to be rich in color and bring out the personality of the subject.
